Historic Hillsborough Castle is the magnificent setting for the Festival’s return visit to Northern Ireland. Gifted cellist Guy Johnston and the celebrated English pianist Kathryn Stott join forces in a programme of music by Beethoven, Brahms and British composers Britten and Mark Anthony Turnage. Both artists enjoy a busy performing career, working with a roster of such distinguished musicians as Yo-Yo Ma, Barry Douglas, Natalie Clein, Edgar Myer and the Belcea and Navarra Quartets. As a duo they have performed at some of the world’s finest halls and festivals and most recently recorded a much-acclaimed CD of works on the Orchid Classics label. Their appearance in the Residence of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland will undoubtedly be a Festival highlight!
