La Serenissima is one of the UK’s leading historical performance ensembles. Directed by Adrian Chandler, the group specialises in the music of Antonio Vivaldi and his contemporaries. The Ensemble has performed worldwide to great acclaim and in 2010 won a coveted Gramophone Award. For its Festival début, La Serenissima presents Vivaldi’s stunning programmatic concertos depicting the Four Seasons which are offset by one of his ‘Paris’ concertos and three virtuosic concertos for soloist and orchestra, including the Irish première of his recently discovered flute concerto “Il Gran Mogul”. A tour de force programme of virtuosity in Dublin’s historic Christchurch Cathedral!
